“The venue added to the special atmosphere of the weekly meetings”

I attended the group for a few years until around 2011 – 12, when we could no longer use the marvellous ‘Village Hall’ on Palatine Road. The venue added to the special atmosphere of the weekly meetings as did the care and professionalism of Cecile and Margaret, the organisers. I struggled to find 6 examples of drawings that I had made during those years, as I was not then in the habit of recording my work, however by dint of checking and re-checking I managed! I had joined an Open Access printmaking Studio, Hot Bed Press, and used some of the drawings from Didsbury Drawing to create prints.
To update my activities I switched to doing more painting including portraiture and life drawing and painting. Recent and older work can be seen in a ‘Virtual Tour’ video (link below) organised by The Parsonage, Didsbury where Sarah Morley and I held an exciting joint exhibition – ‘As We See It’- in May.
